June – August 2025
The Art Program is delighted to present the second rotation of exhibitions in the 2025 exhibition season, with four new displays filling the corridors of the Hospital from June - August 2025.
Artists, patients and their families and some of our Sydney Children’s Hospital partners have contributed to our exhibition program, each with unique perspectives that invite the viewer to reflect upon and celebrate our hospital community through diverse artistic encounters.

A Little Piece of Me
This project is an initiative of Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation Art Program and is supported by The Nicholas Trust and Digi Direct.
A Little Piece of Me celebrates the many influences that shape the identities of developing children and adolescents who are supported by Paediatric Palliative Care teams at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network and John Hunter Children’s Hospital.
Ripples of Light

Each photograph captures sunlight in a unique way, with a close up macro lens. The textured glass window refracts lightwaves, creating an intriguing visual experience. The source and refraction of the light can be elusive, making it difficult to pinpoint where it originates.

Ngala Nanga Mai
Ngala Nanga Mai is a program for parents of Aboriginal children aged 0-5 in the La Perouse area, established in 2009 by the Department of Community Child Health at Sydney Children’s Hospital (Randwick). Ngala Nanga Mai means “We Dream” and was named by the participants of the Group to reflect their hopes and aspirations. The program uses art to build on the resilience and agency of the women attending the group and as a creative expression of identity and belonging.
Sydney Sick Kids Appeal
As part of SCHF’s Sydney Sick Kids Appeal 2025 we are running an art competition asking children and young adults to draw their dreams – from the silly to the surreal to the aspirational, our entrants will let their imaginations guide them! 12 winners will be chosen, with their work being exhibited at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick.
