KenoGO is going all in for kids' health
For some kids, undergoing an MRI can be unfamiliar, scary and anxiety-inducing. Now, thanks to KenoGo, more kids preparing to undergo an MRI procedure will have access to tailored Child Life Therapy support through the Mock MRI program. KenoGo has generously committed $600,000 to fully fund the program at The Children's Hospital at Westmead for the next five years, enabling more kids to access an educational play-based program to help them feel more comfortable when having an MRI scan.

Some children find the MRI machine experience overwhelming due to the small space and its loud noises, and the Mock MRI program was developed by the Child Life therapy team to help children feel more comfortable undergoing this scan and avoid the need for general anaesthesia.

By helping kids manage their anxiety and stay calm, the program has improved both the experience for children and the quality of imaging results. This has led to more accurate diagnoses and better treatment outcomes.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to KenoGo for providing kids who need to undergo this crucial scan with the support they need to feel safe and comfortable. It’s thanks to the power of philanthropy that SCHF can support Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network deliver world-class healthcare to kids in NSW and beyond.
