For the last 18 years, Seven Miles Coffee Roasters have supported Bear Cottage through several corporate initiatives, slowly building their brand which is centred around giving back to the community.
In 2020, Seven Miles Coffee Roasters released a new Bear and the Beard blend, which saw $1 from every kilo sold donated directly to Bear Cottage.
Launched in cafés across the country during winter, the Bear and the Beard blend has a deep, malty sweetness of the medium-roast blend, which is perfect for espresso. The coffee blend is from Latin America & Sumatra and delivers a smooth, sweet richness that blends beautifully with milk.
Designed with both purpose and Bear Cottage at the heart, the name Bear and the Beard is a “cute cue” to the collaboration between Bear Cottage and baristas doing good together. At every touch point, from the blend created to the cups served, Seven Miles says café owners and consumers will be reminded to “bear” in mind the coffee-related cause, giving an even warmer glow to those glorious, caffeinated feels.
Over the many years of love and support, the Manly-based coffee roaster continues to build on their relationship with Bear Cottage and has recently reached a wonderful $250,000 milestone from funds raised through the Bear and Beard blend.
“Bear Cottage is incredibly grateful to the Seven Miles team for their support over many years. Their donation of funds and coffee – not to mention the opportunity to raise awareness – helps ensure that we can continue to provide this very special sanctuary for our children and families.” - Bronwen Simmons, Bear Cottage Community Relations Manager.
