Movement of Many Casting Call

30 Nov 1999

About the Opportunity

We are calling on our Movement of Many, our valued donors, volunteers and supporters to participate in an exciting and unique opportunity by joining us shooting a special video in February!

Our campaign will focus on our Movement of Many, coming together to fight for the health and wellbeing of all sick kids. Depicting the impact and commitment of the community coming together for sick kids, we’d love for you to be involved in bringing a 64ft mural together in a popular Sydney location. The mural itself will be of a real-life patient, who will have it revealed to them – a very special occasion we’d love you to be a part of.

The purpose of this campaign is to encourage further community members to join our Movement of Many, so they too can make a difference to the lives of sick and injured kids across NSW and beyond – just like you do!

The video will be used as a television commercial, online and across social media – across all media without restriction for perpetuity. This will really help amplify the SCHF purpose and encourage people to join in on being all in for kids’ health.

As part of the campaign, we will also be taking photos of our Movement of Many in front of the beautiful mural which may be used across all media, without restriction for perpetuity.

Want to take part? Find out how to register.

What’s involved:

You would be part of a team working with an artist to paint a mural and getting involved in any aspect of making the day a success. That could involve under direction of the director painting some areas of the mural (no painting experience required), handing out refreshments etc.

You just need to come dressed sun safe in clothes that you won’t mind getting a little paint on! We will be able to provide you more information closer to the shoot days.

All participants must be over 18 years of age.

Location:

We are still in the process of securing the perfect location for our mural. As soon as we have the location confirmed, we will be in touch with all the details if you’ve registered your interest. The locations we are scoping are in Metro Sydney.

Shoot days:

Day 1: Friday 10 February (filming of video)

Day 2: Tuesday 14 February (filming of video)

Day 3: Wednesday 15 February (photography)

Due to the nature of being an outside shoot, we will have the following days as wet weather alternatives: Saturday 11 February and Wednesday 15 February.

Call time:

We would greatly appreciate your participation for a full day. You would be on set for approximately 8 hours.

If you’re unable to stay for a full day, we understand and would still love for you to be involved. We all need people to pass-by the action. Call time for this role would be roughly 4 hours.

If you’re only able to spare 2-3 hours, we also have some roles for still photos, taken by a professional photographer, that we’d love to feature you in. These photos will be full body profiles standing proudly in front of our beautiful mural.

Exact timings will be supplied closer to the day, early starts may be required.

How to register your interest in participating:

If you’re available for any or all of the above dates and times and are interested in taking part in this unique opportunity, please complete this online form by Tuesday 24 January 2023.

In your submission, we’d love for you to include a short video (no longer than 60s) including:

  • Introducing yourself
  • Why you’re proud to be a part of SCHF’s Movement of Many.

Please note:

We’re looking for around 20 members of our Movement of Many to participate in the filming. We’d love to make room for as many people as possible, but we may not be able to include everyone depending on how many people register. If for any reason you are not chosen to take part, we will contact you to let you know and to thank you for putting yourself forward.
