As the festive season winds down, Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) is thrilled to share the success of the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation Christmas Appeal 2024. Thanks to the generosity of the community, we raised an extraordinary $6,930,452 to help change the future for sick kids.

This achievement reflects the incredible power of community, compassion, and a shared commitment to providing world-class care for children across the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network.

A Christmas to remember

Throughout the appeal, we shared stories of courage and resilience from families like Artaban's and Koby and Cooper’s. Their journeys remind us why we do what we do—to give every child the chance to thrive, recover, and enjoy the magical moments of childhood.

Our Giving Day on 3 December became a beacon of joy in Martin Place, with activities like the silent disco, festive photo booths, and the heartwarming presence of our volunteers and partners, including DOOLEYS, who matched donations up to $80,000. Together, we doubled the impact of every dollar raised that day.

Across Sydney, families came together to support the appeal through activities like decorating their homes for SCHF’s Lights for Kids campaign, capturing memories with Santa, and visiting Giving Machines in shopping centres. These acts of kindness illuminated the true spirit of Christmas.

Thanks to our supporters

We extend our deepest gratitude to the many individuals, businesses, and community groups who made this appeal a success:

  • DOOLEYS for their extraordinary matching contributions.
  • Our corporate partners including Butterboy Cookies, Seven Miles Coffee Roasters, and BIG W, who creatively wove giving into their holiday offerings.
  • Our volunteers and staff, whose tireless dedication ensured every event and activation shone brightly.
  • And of course, our supporters, who gave so generously to help fund lifesaving equipment, groundbreaking research, and essential care for sick kids.

Changing the future for sick kids

Your donations are already at work, helping children like Artaban take their first steps after traumatic injuries and ensuring that families like Koby and Cooper’s can celebrate together at home. Each dollar raised is a step toward transforming the future for sick kids.

P.S. If you missed the chance to donate, it’s not too late to help change the future for sick kids.
