Earlier this year, Kids with Cancer Foundation announced an extraordinary $10.5 million pledge to SCHF, marking the largest single gift given by Kids with Cancer Foundation and one of the largest pledges ever received by SCHF. The announcement was made during our Gold Dinner, where, thanks in large part to Kids with Cancer Foundation, we raised a record-breaking $33 million to help some of the sickest kids in NSW and beyond.
This generosity has now been formally recognised, with Kids with Cancer Foundation being initiated into The John Beveridge Society at our recent Donor Recognition Evening for reaching an astonishing $25 million in lifetime gifts. As one of the first of our Movement of Many to reach our most prestigious milestone, it was a special moment.
SCHF has proudly partnered with Kids with Cancer Foundation for over 25 years. This most recent pledge will fund the new Cancer Centre for Children at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, improving the future of cancer treatment and care for generations to come. The new centre will offer support for new cancer diagnoses, as well as treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and bone marrow transplants and dedicated family and parent spaces to keep families together when they need it most.
This state-of-the-art facility and the life-changing impacts it will have would not be possible without the generous gifts of Kids with Cancer Foundation. We’re grateful for their decades of support and congratulate them on becoming a member of the John Beveridge Society!
