Achieving great things with Sydney Civil

02 May 2022

The Sunny's courtyard, located at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, has come to serve an important purpose over the years, becoming a resting zone for hardworking doctors and nurses, and a quiet space for parents and carers to relax.

One of SCHF's core values is to ensure that while children are in the hospital, they experience a safe welcoming environment (inside and out). This means there is always an opportunity to ensure that our physical spaces are always updated with vibrant colours, and happy and relaxing places for both patients, families, and staff.

In 2021, when the team at Sydney Civil heard that Sunny's courtyard needed refurbishing they sprang into action, enlisting the help of their friends from The Sydney Brick Paving Company and Pebblecrete In-Situ to help tackle the project, collectively donating over $150,000 worth of labour, equipment, and material costs, resulting in an immeasurable impact.

Sydney Civil has been proudly supporting Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation since 2020 when they first helped fund a BiPAP Ventilator for The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

Despite the demands of their rapidly growing business, they spared the time, money, and resources to construct a beautiful new space for the hospital. Without Sydney Civil's support, this project would not have been possible.

But the support didn't end there, with Sydney Civil becoming a matched giving partner for our very first Greenlight Virtual Giving event, raising over $90,000 on the night. This money will be used to nurture excellence and innovation in paediatric healthcare for children and families in NSW and beyond.

Time and time again, Sydney Civil has show that their motto is 'anything for the kids'.
