Unstoppable Changemakers: Canberra Grammar School – Annual Head Shave

30 Nov 1999
Canberra Grammar School Captains, Tom and Nick, lead the charge on this year’s annual Head Shave fundraiser. An incredible sixty-six people shaved their heads including the Head of Senior School, School Principal, and Canberra Grammar’s Business Director, to raise a record breaking $55,000 to support sick and injured kids.

Every year the school captains choose a charity to support, and this year they chose to support SCHF to show appreciation for the frontline workers who had recently cared for their friend at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.

“I’m so proud of how much thought and compassion our students put into honouring a friend who’d been cared for at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. After all our community has been through in the past few years, this was the year to join our students and do something truly meaningful together.”  - Dr Justin Garrick, Head of Canberra Grammar School.
