On Thursday 31st August, The Ivy Ballroom sparkled and shimmered for The Diamond Event. The annual cocktail event unfolded, raising $380,000 in vital funds to go to the areas most in need on the frontline of Kids’ health.
The extraordinary evening was an overwhelming success in supporting Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation. The event featured captivating entertainment, incredible prizes, and an atmosphere of gratitude for everyone who came together to support a worthy cause – the future of sick and injured kids.
Hosted by charismatic and renowned journalist Edwina Bartholomew, and entertainment powerhouse J.Mo, the audience was delighted and entertained throughout the night. A moving speech by Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation CEO Kristina Keneally brought to the forefront what we were all coming together to achieve alongside a moving tribute to the families cared for by the services of Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. The musical talents of Bermuda Social and the electrifying tunes spun by celebrity DJ Sara Roberts infused the event with an infectiously positive energy that had everyone dancing by the end of the night, celebrating the great work we all came together to achieve.
Funds from The Diamond Event for Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation will go directly to the frontline of children’s healthcare, supporting care provided to children and families across NSW, and pioneering new research across Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.
The Diamond Event was supported by The Diamond Event Committee, led by Co-Chairs Amanda Lacey and James Swete, alongside Carli Skurnik, Nikki Williams, Randall Fulton, Richard Poulton, Shermineh Hooshmand, and Stuart Waugh.
The event's success wouldn't have been possible without the support of sponsors and patrons who generously contributed to its positive result. Special recognition is extended to our jewellery partner Cosmopolitan Jewels and venue partner, Merivale, whose unwavering support is deeply appreciated.
A massive thank you for everyone who attended and donated to make the event a massive success. For more information on The Diamond Event, please visit the The Diamond Event page.
