Silver Party 2025 aims to support four essential pillars of paediatric care focusing on the following areas:

Supporting a Safe Haven for our kids: Silver will support services at Randwick that create a safe haven for kids, with mental health and suicide prevention services and helping children in distress or crisis avoid the Emergency Department.

A new Trauma Resuscitation Zone in the Emergency Department: This zone, specifically designed for the ED, will deliver immediate urgent care to children using state-of-the-art equipment. A simulation control room will also be included in this area. The stakes are high in healthcare, as errors can have severe consequences for critically ill children. The Emergency Department Critical Care simulation program will ensure the highest quality care for all paediatric patients.

Increase in NETS vehicles on the road: Furthermore, we will support the deployment of more NETS vehicles (and equipment within these vehicles) continuously operating to manage, stabilise, and transport newborns and paediatric emergencies between hospitals.

Research: Kids Research at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick, the largest and sole hospital-based paediatric research centre in NSW, is uniquely situated to assist clinicians in leveraging research findings for maximum impact.
