Verity Luckey
always knew she wanted to be a nurse and for almost four decades she dedicated
her life to looking after others. We remember Verity for her compassion,
kindness and inspirational leadership. She was a professional and
authentic leader who inspired others every day, with her passion to make a
difference while supporting and empowering nurses to be their best
selves.
Verity was an extremely caring individual who always put patients, families and staff at the forefront. She was recognised and admired as a leader who would take time to bring the best out in people, provide equal opportunities, recognise the strengths in each team member and get to know those she led. She was dedicated in developing the next generation of leaders and was also committed in building the skills of women in leadership.
As a mentor she shared her experiences, encouraging nurses to be courageous and continue their professional and personal development path.
Our wish is to continue her legacy and provide opportunities for healthcare workers to be supported and encouraged through their leadership journey.
