Join us to raise money and awareness to support an amazing team, Westmead Children's Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Clinic.
Our little star Harriet, now 3 years old was welcomed at the CF Clinic at Westmead at just 6 weeks of age. Her health has continued to improve with each passing milestone, thanks in no small part to the ongoing support of our team at Westmead.
This year we wanted to be more direct in our fundraising efforts and provide some extra funding back to the team who work tirelessly to support us, answer our many questions, provide resources, education and reassurance at all our concerns and worries. This is not only for our family but the many families and CF warriors connected to WCH.
The CF clinic plays an integral role in our family and we would love to see the continued care for many years to come not only for Harriet but for all the current and new CF families.
Unfortunately funding for our clinic has slowly declined and therefore we want to assist to maintain the future for our little girl and every other CF warrior who deserves the highest level of support and care like we have had.
Our team are walking 65km around the NSW Central Coast on Sunday 8th September, and have chosen this specific day as it marks the first day for Harriet to start Trikafta.
About our CF Team: They provide ongoing support to children and adolescents with CF within NSW. The team is made up of physicians, clinical nurses, consultants, dietitians, physiotherapists, psychologist and a social worker.
Support can be provided during inpatient admissions, outpatient, weekly CF clinics, new diagnosis, education and ongoing management and support of CF, outreach services including home and schools visits, community liaison, family support and/or education groups.
