NEWBORN GEN SEQ TRAIL - small steps towards big goals!

By Shelley Pirreca

Help raise awareness of the TRAIL study with a gift to Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation!

On 7 September, please join the TRAIL team as we take small steps towards big research goals!

Newborn bloodspot screening is one of the most successful population health programmes. This programme enables early diagnosis of serious health conditions, leading to early management and improved health outcomes.

The NEWBORN GEN SEQ TRAIL study is exploring the possibility of using genomics as a complement to standard newborn bloodspot screening. This could mean early detection and management of a greater number of conditions.

So join us on Saturday 7 September! Choose YOUR trail, and together, let's take small steps with us towards big research goals! Don’t forget to snap a selfie and email us at SCHN-trail@health.NSW.gov.au!

The TRAIL study is operating out of the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network in NSW. That's why we have decided to raise funds for the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation. SCHF supports Australia's leading pediatric health services, offering a safe and friendly healing environment for children from NSW and beyond. Every dollar we raise contributes to keeping our hospitals running at a world class, award-winning level.

Thank you for your support!
